The 2024 Lion Heart Walk will be held on Saturday September 28, at 4.30 pm. See our Walk Page.

 

We conduct our annual Lion Heart Walk in September, where as a team we walk through parts of Manhattan that many rarely visit. The walk is followed by a team dinner where our Lion Heart grantees present their research. The dinner is our gift to all donors. See our Walk page.

 

Led by Kathleen’s sister, Martha Phelan, the Southern Connecticut Conference's girls’ and boys’ high school swim and dive teams hold a series of Lap-a-Thons. In 2023 they were joined by the Fordham University’s Men’s and Women’s Swim Teams and Long Island University’s Swim Team. See our Lap-a-Thon page.

The funds raised by Lion Heart Teams have the potential to aid breakthrough research and truly make a difference. Lion Heart’s goal is to help find a cure for breast cancer through its support of Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale New Haven.
