Many Lion Hearts find their own innovative and creative ways to raise funds, establish fund raising teams and support Lion Heart. The Clintonville, CT Elementary School ran a "Laps for Lion Heart" event. The SCC swim teams held bake sales, dress up and down days, pink days and many other creative events. When still in New Haven, the CT Open Tennis Tournament fundraised for Lion Heart. Edible Arrangement held a discounted Lion Heart Event. There was a Swerve spinning contest between Lion Heart groups. Lion Hearts organized cocktail parties and dance events. The clothing store "Vince" held a special Lion Heart Day, donating a percentage of the day's sales to Lion Heart. The Rumanoff Jewelry Store in Hamden held a one-day Lion Heart sales event. In 2023, Claire’s CornerCopia in New Haven conducted a special Lion Heart event during October’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It all depends on your imagination and willingness to get involved! These events show the commitment and passion of the Lion Hearts. Many other Lion Hearts fund raise on this website to their own friends and communities with their own stories and experiences.

 

The funds raised by Lion Heart Teams have the potential to aid breakthrough research and truly make a difference. Lion Heart’s goal is to help find a cure for breast cancer through its support of Smilow Cancer Hospital at Yale New Haven.
